Calling artists and promote artwork here 徵集藝術作品!

The Chinese Culture Center of San Francisco encourages exhibitions of Chinese and Chinese American artists and curators. Other artists or curators whose works derive from or utilize Chinese genres, motifs, and techniques; or whose works illustrate important aspects of Chinese culture, history, or Chinese-American experience are also considered.

The Chinese Culture Center Online Gallery offers a window to view artworks created by Chinese artists to gain exposure for their artworks. Regardless the location, one can easily access the galley of Chinese art, preview exhibitions, artists portfolios, projects, talks and seminars. 中華文化中心電子畫廊為華裔藝術家提供了一個窗口,使其作品得到更多的關注。無論你身在何方,都可以通過網上畫廊,欣賞華人藝術,瀏覽展覽,藝術家作品,論壇以及講座。

创作涂鸦系列作品的过程和心得

从中国到美国,艺术的表达方式,创作理念,表现技法的差异之大让我深深地震撼。不次于婴儿第一次睁开眼睛仰望这个五彩缤纷的世界,而让这个婴儿久久不能忘记的最瑰丽的色彩就是美国独特的艺术————涂鸦艺术。 涂鸦,与其说是一种艺术形式,不如说是一种文化,一种精神的交流。年轻人对于内心的宣泄,以涂鸦的形式表现出来。可能部分涂鸦色彩单调,表现力很差,甚至谈不上美丽。可是,正是这最原始的,对于内心世界最直接的表现对人们的冲击力才是最强烈的。那种毫无修饰,无过多表现技法的涂鸦,在一瞬间就冲击到了每个观看者的灵魂深处。涂鸦艺术不是那种遥不可及的梦幻,而是深入到普通生活中的每个角落。 涂鸦这种艺术形式不仅深入人心,也遍布旧金山的各个角落。 然而,我突然有种莫名的冲动,就是让这种艺术重新返回画布,我正以一个初生的眼睛看待这个艺术形式,以最单纯的头脑来理解这个总是存在于墙面的大众艺术,以最精炼的笔法来绘制这个只属于出内心深处的艺术。 佛家有句话,翻译过来大概是:“眼睛只能看到事物的表面,而不能看见事物的本质。只有心灵才能感受到事物的本质和真实。”我现在正是在用心去观察,用心去思考,用心去作画。艺术领悟的提… Continue

中華文化中心舉行展品150件 中國傳統益智遊戲展

( 本報記者黃偉江三藩市報道 ) 七 巧板、九連環、華容道、公道杯、倒流壺、益智圖、魯班鎖等共150款中國傳統益智遊戲穿越時空,7月22日至10月11日在舊金山中華文化中心畫廊(乾尼街750號)向公眾展示。 參觀者可動手動腦 主辦機構中華文化中心項目經理陳暢介紹,和歷史悠久的中國的藝術,文化和科學一樣,益智遊戲在中國也流傳已久。許多中國的傳統益智遊戲也是智慧和藝術的傑作。「Puzzles」在中國叫做益智遊戲。自古以來,從平民到宮廷,益智遊戲都深受男女老少的喜愛。 中國益智遊戲展覽的所有展品都來自藝智堂的收藏。其中包括傳統的七巧板,九連環和華容道。另外還有益智器物,益智圖像和一些智巧的生活用品,比如連環戒指或多開機關古鎖。 展覽統籌是獲得中華文化碩士學位的Catherine Le Pape,她介紹此次中國益智遊戲的展覽的一個重要的部分是互動。人們既可以觀賞展櫃中的益智遊戲,還可以在互動台上或互動教室裡親自動手動腦,體驗把玩益智遊戲的快樂和揭解益智遊戲的成就感。 藝智堂藏品1200件 藝智堂的藏主是舊金山灣區的張衛和雷彼德伉麗,近十二年來,他們走遍中國,北美和歐洲古董市場,收集這些行將消逝的益智遊戲,目前藏品達1200多件。中國益智遊戲展覽是藝智堂第一次綜合公展覽,也是第一個關於中國益智遊戲的專展。此展覽歡迎不同年齡與文化背景的個人或家庭參與。 據悉,國際益智遊戲協會結束8月30日在捷克布拉格的年會後,將抵達中華文化中心,舉辦一場盛大的益智遊戲演示,同時,該中心還將舉辦團體益智遊戲班,現已報名的團體包括史丹福大學、培根中心、Cameron House、YMCA 和YWCA。聯繫電話:(415) 986-1822,網站:Http://www.c-c-c.org。

Chinese Puzzles: Games for the Hands and Mind

Chinese Puzzles: Games for the Hands and Mind, Runs: July 22 – October 11, 2008, is an exhibition of antique Chinese puzzles from the Yi Zhi Tang Collection and will include traditional puzzles, such as tangrams, nine linked rings, and sliding block puzzles. But it will also have examples of puzzling objects, visual puzzles, and cleverly designed practical objects, such as puzzle rings and multi-step padlocks.
