Diana is a grand work of public art created by the Artist Curtis Wallin for NYC’s Art in the Parks. This sculpture is based on the mythological figure Diana the Huntress. Taking a historical root in NYC, these arrows, with heights ranging from 10’ -8” to 22’ -0” tall, take flight from the bow of Diana - the sculpture by Augustus Saint-Gaudens that once stood atop the 2nd Madison Square Garden designed by Stanford White (1890). These three arrows shot from her bow are now landing - 126 years later - in NYC.
