The 512 Earthquake has taken away nearly ten thousand people’s lives and many of them were school children. This exposed the problems of school buildings in China. In memory of the tragedy, this painting shows the parents mourning their children in the ruins. Monks are praying and flowers are displayed, wishing the dead and the parents a reprieve.
