Monica Tzeng is an interdisciplinary artist who primarily works with sculpture, installation, and video.
She creates out of materials that are fairly unimpressive within the larger context of society, particularly mass-produced materials or food products. Her work is both a critique on the consumerist culture, as well as investigating new realities of existence through the manipulation of the material at hand.
In her short films, she is primarily interested in capturing and re-creating rituals of production into new self-invented video narratives.
