Cynthia has a B.A from San Francisco State Univ. and continues to study under such artists as Troy Dalton, Linda Hope, Tesia Blackburn, Joe Sam, Sandra Sunnyo Lee, Kay Kang, Chris Leib and Warren Travis
Cynthia has received Artist in Residence awards and her work was exhibited at the Legion of Honor, as well as the M.H. De Young Museum in San Francisco. Additionally she was invited to participate in the prestigious Day of the Dead, SomArts Exibition, Her work has been represented in galleries on the East and West Coast.
She has most recently been included in the Univ. of Purdue curriculum and textbook, “Women Artists of the American West”, conceived, taught and edited by Susan Ressler. She has been a guest lecturer at Mills College, City College of San Francisco and U.C. Berkeley about her creative processes, the Asian American Art genre, use of female iconography and the business of being an artist.
She is on the Board of Asian American Women Artists Association.
