Calligraphy Presentation – The Influence of Buddhism on Calligraphy Art
Master Mei-Ju Chang, a gifted student of Mr. Qi-bai-shi, is a well known Chinese calligrapher and seal engraver from Taiwan with pseudonyms as Thousand Miles (Qian Li) and The Son of Dragon (Zi-Long). Master Chang’s work in calligraphy and seal engraving was among the many gifts presented to Vatican in commencing the canonization ceremony in the year of 2000.
Since year 2000, Master Chang has been giving a series of presentation on “The Spirit and Style of Calligraphy along the history of each dynasty”. Topics on each dynasty presents a single unit, such as Shang, Zhou, Qin, Han, Sanguojin, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, Qing…All his past presentations have been very highly regarded and extremely well received.
Master Chang has extensive teaching experience. His special gift to direct student in grasping the core spirit of calligraphy art has been so unique, from theory, concept to the practice; from style, structure to the explanation, analysis, and demonstration.
This presentation will be focusing on the topics of “The Influence of Buddhism on Calligraphy Art”. Master Chang will give an introduction on the products of famous Buddha masters throughout the history. We welcome your interest and attendance!
