Job Posting: Gallery & Artistic Assistant

The CCC seeks a Gallery & Artistic Assistant, a dynamic and capable coordinator who implements the CCC mission to elevate underserved through education and the arts. S/he comes to the position with a passion for the arts and community service. The successful candidate is an artistic multi-talented, reliable self starter who can prioritize and meet multiple deadlines, and a problem solver.


Exhibition & Artwork Management

  • Support Curator & Exhibition manager in implementing exhibitions & programs, including installation, setup, logistics, day of and opening rundown, coordinating with team and other partners, outreach & engagement, ensuring quality of art is at a high standard.
  • Staff gallery, train and schedule volunteer to engage visitors to a high standard
  • Be knowledgeable and understand art and programs to break barriers between audience and art
  • Manage artwork inventory, catalogue collection, artists contact database both online and offline
  • Plan with exhibition manager to provide look and content for marketing and social media
  • Support exhibition manager on evaluation, tracking, and documentation of programs
  • Work collaboratively with communications, marketing, outreach, fund development teams to support to ensure a successful program
  • Follow organization systems to keep shared documents, storage rooms, and common spaces organized
  • Administrative support for Curator
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Support Curator & Lead Artist on Design Shop to manage and coordinate artists and meet monthly revenue goals
  • Participate in donor cultivation events, including participating in other events to meet CCC’s fundraising goals

Public/Community Outreach

  • Act as an ambassador for CCC, including understanding message, mission, and vision of the organization
  • Facilitate organizational and community-based communication between CCC and the external community. Cultivate and develop artist relationships through maintaining CCC’s online gallery platform, meetings, attending events, and builds and managing communication channels with regional, national, and international art organizations, artists, community partners, educational institutions, and media resources.

Required Skills & Knowledge

  • BA degree in art, design, or museum studies, or related field experience with non-profit arts, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Design, photography, and spreadsheet skills mandatory
  • Knowledge of a second language – especially Chinese or Cantonese – is desirable
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Accurate typing/keyboard skills; excellent word processing/computer skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Photoshop applications
  • Knowledge of museum standards and practices of registration, art handling, conservation, and collections storage requirements and procedures
  • Ability to assess priorities and work well under pressure; excellent time management, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Highly self-directed with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and requests simultaneously and budget time effectively
  • Ability to visually inspect artwork
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry 30 lbs
