中華文化中心舉行展品150件 中國傳統益智遊戲展

( 本報記者黃偉江三藩市報道 ) 七 巧板、九連環、華容道、公道杯、倒流壺、益智圖、魯班鎖等共150款中國傳統益智遊戲穿越時空,7月22日至10月11日在舊金山中華文化中心畫廊(乾尼街750號)向公眾展示。 參觀者可動手動腦 主辦機構中華文化中心項目經理陳暢介紹,和歷史悠久的中國的藝術,文化和科學一樣,益智遊戲在中國也流傳已久。許多中國的傳統益智遊戲也是智慧和藝術的傑作。「Puzzles」在中國叫做益智遊戲。自古以來,從平民到宮廷,益智遊戲都深受男女老少的喜愛。 中國益智遊戲展覽的所有展品都來自藝智堂的收藏。其中包括傳統的七巧板,九連環和華容道。另外還有益智器物,益智圖像和一些智巧的生活用品,比如連環戒指或多開機關古鎖。 展覽統籌是獲得中華文化碩士學位的Catherine Le Pape,她介紹此次中國益智遊戲的展覽的一個重要的部分是互動。人們既可以觀賞展櫃中的益智遊戲,還可以在互動台上或互動教室裡親自動手動腦,體驗把玩益智遊戲的快樂和揭解益智遊戲的成就感。 藝智堂藏品1200件 藝智堂的藏主是舊金山灣區的張衛和雷彼德伉麗,近十二年來,他們走遍中國,北美和歐洲古董市場,收集這些行將消逝的益智遊戲,目前藏品達1200多件。中國益智遊戲展覽是藝智堂第一次綜合公展覽,也是第一個關於中國益智遊戲的專展。此展覽歡迎不同年齡與文化背景的個人或家庭參與。 據悉,國際益智遊戲協會結束8月30日在捷克布拉格的年會後,將抵達中華文化中心,舉辦一場盛大的益智遊戲演示,同時,該中心還將舉辦團體益智遊戲班,現已報名的團體包括史丹福大學、培根中心、Cameron House、YMCA 和YWCA。聯繫電話:(415) 986-1822,網站:Http://www.c-c-c.org。

全球首個中國傳統益智遊戲展舊金山開幕

【国际日報舊金山報導】(記者劉藝霖)在中國起碼有7000年歷史的九連環、七巧版、魯班鎖以及近代的華容道等傳統民間益智遊戲首次被廣泛搜集、系統整理成為一個以「中國益智遊戲」為主題的展覽會,地點是舊金山中華文化中心畫廊,公開讓中西市民瞭解、嘗試、探索富於中國傳統文化特色、民俗特色又充滿科學原理、人生哲理的藝術與智慧結晶品。 中國傳統益智遊戲展覽會的誕生全賴一對益智遊戲愛好者張衛和雷彼得的熱心、恒心及善心。出生在新疆的張衛小時候就已經被九連環遊戲深深吸引,此愛好一直伴隨著她。雷彼得學的是數學,尤其對充滿數學原理的益智遊戲感興趣。 一本1958年出版的「巧環」書,導致倆人1997年首次去中國蘇州尋找一位製作巧環的老藝人。從此開始了漫長而廣泛的「中國益智遊戲」收藏之路。到今天,他們已擁有1500件珍品,這一次展出的是其中的十分之一。 中華文化中心在確定舉辦這個全球首次的展覽會之後,特別聘請了一位精通中文及中國文化的美國姑娘Catherine Le Pape負責統籌策劃。經過她的精心整理,把中國民間分散的、獨立的傳統益智遊戲歸類,使之系統化;並參考西方人的文化,令展覽安排儘量讓東西方人都看得懂。在此過程中,她也成了掌握了中國傳統益智遊戲的奧妙。 中國益智遊戲展覽的所有展品都來自藝智堂的收藏。其中包括傳統的七巧板,九連環和華容道。另外還有益智器物,益智圖像和一些智巧的生活用品,比如連環戒指或多開機關古鎖。 此次展覽的一個重要的部分是互動。人們既可以觀賞展櫃中的益智遊戲,還可以在互動臺上或互動教室裡親自動手動腦,體驗把玩益智遊戲的快樂和揭解益智遊戲的成就感。此展覽歡迎不同年齡與文化背景的個人或家庭參與。 展覽日期7月22日至10月11日,星期二至星期六,上午10點至下午4點;地點:舊金山中華文化中心三樓畫廊,免費入場,歡迎參觀。

Chinese Puzzles: Games for the Hands and Mind

Chinese Puzzles: Games for the Hands and Mind, Runs: July 22 – October 11, 2008, is an exhibition of antique Chinese puzzles from the Yi Zhi Tang Collection and will include traditional puzzles, such as tangrams, nine linked rings, and sliding block puzzles. But it will also have examples of puzzling objects, visual puzzles, and cleverly designed practical objects, such as puzzle rings and multi-step padlocks.
